(Update via Sparc website) April 2010

SPARC has signed off investment plans from all 17 Regional Sports Trusts (RSTs).
Common priority areas being identified through community consultation to be supported through the RPF include;
  • Movement and basic sport skill development
  • Coach and volunteer development
  • Local competitions and events (addressing transport and access issues)
  • Addressing drop off at transition stages (between primary-intermediate and intermediate-secondary)
  • Enhancing school-club links
  • Modified sport and games
  • Sport for non-participating youth
  • Student coaching and leadership programmes

Funding distribution methods for approved plans are a mixture of contestable and non-contestable processes and investment supports both short (1 year) and longer term projects (up to 3 years).

For more information on individual RST timelines and the process for applying for funding please check the websites for the relevant Trusts – all should have a dedicated page for the KiwiSport RPF. Note investment plans are based on regional consultation findings therefore different RSTs will each adopt a different approach based on local needs. Contact details can be obtained from SPARC's list of RST's.
