How did you come about being involved in Softball?
I wouldn't let my kids play Cricket as spending the whole day with sometimes little opportunity to touch the ball didn't appeal, and was drafted by the Softball Coach, first as scorer for U8's T Ball, then team representative on the club Committe and it grew from there.

Who has been your greatest influence in Softball?
There has not been one greatest influence in softball, there have been a number of people, to leave any out would be wrong Callum McAlpine & Faille Curry, Pom Auimatangi (Roosters), Danny Knight, Tony Cohen, the Navy Chiefs and my two sons (the best critics a coach could have).

What is your vision for Softball in 5 years time from a local perspective?
To have Rosedale Park overflowing with club teams that play high quality Softball at all levels.

What is your greatest achievement in Softball as a valued volunteer?
To have the privilege of coaching a team for the last 5 seasons where each year, they exceed my expectations, in skill on the diamond, attitude and commitment to the game and each other. The support crew phenomenally led by our Manager Des, at practice, the game and now at tournaments, they are always there and supporting the team and me.

What do you wish to achieve as a volunteer in the coming season(s)?
Complete the implementation of NHSA coaching strategic plan that I developed in conjunction with Harbour Sport Tony Morduant, RGDO Venita Hokai and Kevin Sheehy AUT.
