Coach & Athlete Development Pathways
The Softball New Zealand Coach & Athlete Pathways show the relationship between units of learning and athlete development. It is widely recognised that competent coaching is critical for the development and enjoyment factor of softball for both coaches and players. Coaches are encouraged to complete appropriate learning within the community they coach in order to get a better understanding of the game, the athlete and the coaching process. Regional Game Development Officers are based around NZ to initiate, enhance and support coach development needs.
Get in touch with Softball NZ, your local Association or a Regional Game Development Officer to see when a course is being run in your area. Better still get an RGDO to come to your club coaches.
