    #3 Notices: Recent Bereavements:
The Wellington Evergreens are sad to announce the unexpected death of Joe McDonald, in Wellington on 5th September, 2006.  He was 69 years of age.
Joe had been an early member of the Evergreens, and was particularly keen on the Annual Evergreens Bowls Tournament, to which he was a frequent entry.

Joe was a great stalwart of the Miramar Softball Club, and had been a member all of his life right from schoolboy days.

Joe played for the Miramar top team as an Outfielder through the years 1958 - 1964, and played in 5 John Lennon Tournaments, with Miramar, winning a badge for 1960/61 when Miramar won.

Joe also represented Wellington in Beatty Cup Tournaments four times from 1961 - 1965, and was selected twice to represent for the North Island V South, 1961/62 at Wanganui, and 1962/63 at Invercargill. North won both these games, 3 - 0, and 2 - 1 respectively.

Joe was a quiet, kind man, much respected and will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.
