International Appointments for the 2008/2009 Season (as advised by SNZ)

 

 

SNZ advise - they aim to find the majority of the cost of activities marked “*” through funding applications.  The level of umpire funding input will be dependent upon the success of the SNZ application process. Activities marked “**” are likely to be significantly self funded.

Highlights from National Umpiring Staff meeting.                                                                   

 

The following grading promotions were approved.

 

Level 4 to Level 5 -  Warren Polata (TN) Gavin Shepherd (WN), Les Haslam (AK), Jeff Webber (AK), Joanne Edwin (NH), Tai Matehe (CB), Charlie Gaze (CB), John Hickman (ML), Riki Thompson (CO) and Dawie Sutton (OG).

Level 5 to Level 6 - Andrew Laird (AK), Ray Dyason (MN) and Tara Harris (HV).

Pitching Rule application – In the wider interest of the game it was resolved  “That following an initial warning to a pitcher. Any discussion on subsequent infringement of the pitching rule with a pitcher shall involve the head coach. This is recommended to apply for all U19 and under grades”.
