What do you like to do in your spare time: My wife and I have two dogs that we love to take to the beach. When we aren’t at the beach we are at the gym or enjoying a fine wine with ours close friends
Tell us about your philosophy for playing the game of softball and about what you hope to accomplish at the National Team level: Regardless of whether I’m playing nationally or locally I play every game as if it’s my last. I am always aiming to set a high standard for my team mates and look to lead by example. I was fortunate to be apart of the Silver Medal winning Steelers in 2017 and want to be there to go one better in 2019
Training regimen: An even balance of skills, gym and cardio. In order to be a successful athlete for a sustained period of time I believe heavily in strong preparation and aim to do something every day so I can trust my body to hold up when on a tour or at a tournament. I have great coaches and mentors in Perth whom I regularly engage with and seek feedback on how I can improve in all facets of the game. My philosophy to training is to train how you play so that your skills become instinct when under the pressure of a game
Softball achievements: 2010 National Champion, 2017 WBSC Men’s Softball World Championship silver medal,
Western Australia men’s representative 2010-present
Aussie Steeler’s debut 2017 TAB challenge
