Hi, I am Miriama Potter, I have been fortunate enough to play in your U17's National Tournament on 2 occasions as a member of the “Sydney Tigers” Oz based Kiwi side. WHAT A DELIGHT. The first time as an under age player (13) in 2015. Had a great time at Christchurch in the lovely South Island.  Tough games all the way but I manage to play well at 3rd Base and Bat well while backing up our front line Pitchers. The main thing to come from this experience for myself was the desire to play for New Zealand.

In Australia I've been able to play For NSW Schools in the Australian Championships. And been a regular member of the Georges River Representative Sides through all Junior ages. I've also played in the Winter NSW State League open Women's competition for 3 years.

My love of playing in N.Z. was self evident at the 2017 N.Z. under 17s Championships in Palmerston North. Thanks to some tough match play produced by the N.Z provincial sides I brought my best game, being high up in the batting and pitching best whilst NCAA scout troupe Athletes USA deemed my play worthy of listing me for scholarship entry to the American colleges.
I now play in the Campbelltown and Macarthur Competition's in Sydney and have been lucky enough to obtain the Services of Top Playday and Battery coach Ms Heather Mill (coached Current NCAA players Chontelle Ladner and Gabbie Plaiin 2018 all American) as well as many of Australias top men players. Looking forward to playing in another championship in N.Z. and thanks to the Coaching and Management at Softball N.Z. for the opportunity.

If you would like to get in touch with me, please email Miriama Potter -

15 October 2018

Hi my name is Pania Nicholson, born in June 2001.  My position is Pitcher.  I have been playing softball from 2005 – 2015.  My club is Tigers Softball Club INC.  My associations are Campbelltown Softball District Association & Current Softball Campbelltown.  I have represented in:

·         Campbelltown Reps  2005 – 2015
·         All Schools – 2011, 2012, 2013
·         Sydney South West, 2013
·         NSW, 2013
·         Metro - 2015
·         Australia Sept 2015

In my first year in Tball, I made the Rep team for Campbelltown. Then as I progressed I decided I wanted to pitch like my sisters. When training began it was noticed that I had great mechanics for pitching. Age 11 years I was pitching at advance level.  I was selected 3 years in a row and made all schools softball team for Campbelltown, then on to Sydney south west winning the 2013 all school championship. I was selected for NSW from that championship.  All Schools Championship, which was held here at Blacktown over 5 days. Teams from other states participated. NSW had 2 female teams, 2 NSW teams battle it out at the grand finial. NSW coming in 1st and 2nd  place, my team were runners up for the All School Championship which was a great achievement.  I continue to make all Rep sides for Campbelltown every year, 2014 U15 Females Rep won the state Cup another great achievement.  Club level 2015 I played in the Open Women’s B graded and were the grand finial winners.  I pitched an almost perfect game…I pitched a no hit game and walked 1 player winning score 20 – 0.

I recently played in one of the Metro Team at NSW. From the metro team Pania was selected in the invitation team to play against Japan.  NSW has hosted this tournament every year for the last 10 years and have never beaten Japan until this year. I was a part of another great achievement first time in 10 years they win the Cup!  I have been selected for Aussie Sparks National 15U Development Team who travel to the USA September 2015.
