The Dugout Slowpitch Equipment Grants

Slowpitch is here: big hits, good times and everyone’s invited

Softball New Zealand is encouraging more people to grab a bat and get involved in slowpitch this summer, with support from The Dugout and five $200 equipment grants available for new or growing leagues.

Social, inclusive and easy to get into, slowpitch is a great way to bring friends, whānau and workmates together on the diamond. Whether you’re a regular softball player, returning to the game or trying it for the first time, the focus is on getting involved and having fun.

We’re keen to hear from associations, clubs and community organisers interested in starting a league or building on an existing competition. From workplace teams to groups of mates, there’s plenty of scope to introduce more people to our game.

To help get things moving, The Dugout is backing five $200 equipment grants to assist with essentials such as balls, bats, bases and starter gear.
