DSX HEAD COACH UNVEILS TEAM FOR INAUGURAL WBSC U-15 WOMEN'S SOFTBALL WORLD CUP IN JAPAN

Anthea Stringer, the head coach of the Developing Sox, has finalised her team for the WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup, which will take place from October 19 to 30 at the Komazawa Olympic Park Sports Complex in Japan. This inaugural world cup will be held at a venue that was built for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.

Sunday 9 April
Today our journey to the u-23 World Cup began with a 17 hour flight to Dubai, then onto a plane for another 12+ hours to Buenos Aires via a layover of 1 and a half hour in Rio.

The JWSX management team are extremely excited to have been invited to the Top Gun Invitational Tournament in Kansas City in June with the tournament being touted as one of the big showcase tournaments in the USA. The JWSX will field teams in the 18U and 16U age grade brackets with an expected 250 teams in attendance. Coach Kiri Shaw, says, "this will be a phenomenal experience for 30 of our best players across these age groups".

REMOVAL OF U17 BOYS AND GIRLS NATIONAL TOURNAMENT TEAMS

The naming of national age grade tournament teams has been traditional practice for decades where a Tournament Team (All-Star type team) is named at the conclusion of the tournament.
Moving forward Tournament Teams will no longer be a part of the U17 National Boys and Girls closing ceremony.

The White Sox who have not travelled offshore since the January 2020 APC in Sydney will take part in a 10 game programme in support of their preparation for the WBSC World Cup Qualifier in Europe next year.
