SOFTBALL NEW ZEALAND PICK UP INFORMATION.
Kia ora! This page holds information and guidance on player pick ups.
What is a 'Pick Up': This is where a player requests to play for another province at a national championship (but still remains to their home province). You are eligible to be considered as a pickup player when:
- A player is not selected to play at a National Championship by their home province in their preferred grade, and they wish to draft to a different province; or
- Where the player's home province does not have a team attending a National Championship in their preferred grade.
Please note that you must be registered as a representative player within your own association first. You cannot remove yourself from a representative pool within you home association, then be selected by an outside ('pick up') association.
