DIAMOND PARTNERS

SPORTNZ Sport NZ provides leadership in research and the development and implementation of policies that recognise the importance of sport and physical recreation to New Zealand.

We provide policy advice to the Government on sport and recreation and work with other Government agencies to increase participation and strengthen the sport and physical recreation sector.
We have partnerships with key organisations in the sport and recreation sector (primarily national-level sport and recreation organisations and regional sports trusts) to help us achieve our outcomes.

These partner organisations deliver sport and physical recreation to New Zealanders from the grassroots to the high performance level. Sport NZ is not primarily a delivery agency, but is responsible for setting direction and providing investment and resources to the sector. Sport NZ works to “promote, encourage and support physical recreation and sport in New Zealand”.  For more info click here

Ko te reo te hā, te mauri o te Māoritanga
The Māori language is the cornerstone of Māori culture

The Māori language is a taonga (treasure) at the very heart of Māori culture and identity and for that reason alone, it must be preserved and fostered. It provides a platform for Māori cultural development and supports a unique New Zealand identity within a global society.

New Zealand’s national indigenous media organisation, Whakaata Māori (formerly known as Māori Television), promotes, revitalises and normalises the Māori language by taking a digital-first, audience-led approach in the delivery of educational, entertaining and engaging programming.  For more info click here
