Welcome to the homepage of the 2022/23 Tradestaff National Fastpitch Championship (NFC) to be held at Dynasty Ballpark, Christchurch from the 21-24 October 2022.
6 men’s and 6 women’s teams will go head to head over 4 days of intense play in a newly revised format. 6 time National Fastpitch Champions Auckland will look to take out another men's title with competition from North Harbour, The North, Hutt Valley, Wellington and Canterbury. Much like the men's comp the Auckland women will look to secure their seventh title with challenges coming from North Harbour, Waikato, Hutt Valley, Wellington and Canterbury.
Whakaata Maori TV will broadcast the men's and women's finals while Ballpark Broadcasting will once again beam the event across the internet.
With the upcoming Tradestaff WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup looming and the significance of the Golden Homes Black Sox podiuming, D1 will be a dedicated male diamond. D2 will be devoted to the females with the final played on D1 and fences at the international women’s distance. Pitching blocks will be in play on the two skin diamonds, with pitching mats on the grass diamonds. Outfield fences are present on all diamonds.
Below are the rules & explanations for the tournament. The format is very similar to national age grade tournaments, and no more player registrations or player drafts as in previous years.
