Jayden Moore has given a lifetimes commitment to softball.

A club involvement spanning 40 years has seen Jayden Moore enjoy tenures with Belfast Bears, Christchurch United, South Canterbury United and Parklands Christchurch United Softball Club throughout his career.

Jayden’s provincial representative honours span 24 years commencing with age-grade selection into the Canterbury U16 team in the early 1990’s and culminating with management responsibilities of the Canterbury Red Sox for an 11-year period through 2015.

Jayden has been an active member as both player and manager, of the Canterbury Evergreens since 2011.

Not ready to walk away from the game off-diamond, Jayden was elected onto the Board of the Canterbury Softball Association in 2004 where he would provide almost two decades of commitment honing his governance prowess, and ultimately culminating in his appointment as Chairman of the Association in 2011 – a position he would retain for more than 10 years.

At the highest level, Jayden provided international tacit management skill and performance capability with the New Zealand Black Sox between 2006 - 2017.

Appointed as High-Performance Coordinator, Assistant Manager, and ultimately Manager across four World Cup campaigns, Jayden’s professionalism and skillset supported the Black Sox in achieving two silver medals in 2009, and again in 2015, as well as celebrated world cup victories at home in 2013 and again in Whitehorse, Canada in 2017.

Jayden is one of the true nice guys of the sport and still gives back to our community at every opportunity.
