Passing of Joyce Phillips
Passing of Joyce Phillips It is with great sadness we advise the passing of Joyce Phillips who was Umpire in Chief for Canterbury for many years. Joyce represented her country in both Softball and Basketball as an Official. She officiated at the 1970 World Series in Osaka, Japan. She was a recipient of the NZSA Distinguished Service Award and a Life Member of the Canterbury Softball Association. Joyce will be greatly missed by many throughout the softball community. Details regarding funeral arrangements will be sent in due course
