Passing of Elaine Karsten
Elaine passed Sunday morning with her devoted husband Don by her side.
Both Elaine and Don are SNZ DSA recipients for service to the game and as scoring aficionados. Elaine has been SNZ Chief Statistician for decades and was instrumental in setting up official player test numbers, and test caps in recent years. A mentor to the entire scoring fraternity and a constant at SNZ national tournaments, Elaine Karsten personified the spirit and kindness that exists in our game.
